         Guangxi Transportation Research Institute, of which the predecessor was named as Institute of Transportation Science and Research of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and was established under the approval of National Science and Technology Commission of China as a governmental institution under the leadership of Guangxi Department of Transportation in 1984, became a scientific and technologic type enterprise and consolidated with other affiliated companies to form Guangxi New Development Transportation Group Co., Ltd in December of 2003.
